The Matador

This movie is not what you'd expect from Pierce Brosnan for sure. His contribution to the role of Julian is unforgettable. Brosnan's rough-around-the-edges portrayal is not only a great recovery from being axed as Bond; it's a good sign of things to come.

The Matador is a tight combination of black humor and sentiment. It is a unique study of character and the dark parts of both Julian and Danny Wright's (Greg Kinnear) soul. It's also a dark divergent buddy flick.

I enjoyed The Matador more than I expected and I think you will too.

I like to think that I'm fairly informed on mass media stuff, but most of the stuff I know about is being backed by huge multi-national corporations. They don't need my support, but you might...

If you are an independant band, comic creator, filmmaker or writer and you'd like the exposure that only the Beefboy can provide (hey, I'm close to 2 million hits a month), then send me a physical sample of your work.

Assuming that I like the cut of your jib, I'll promote the hell out of you on my main page and write up a review right here. Can you beat that? I didn't think so...
